Chapter 5 – Philosophies: Ancient Kingdom Of Greece
The fall of Adam and eve is probably the most well known story from the Bible. It tells the story of the fall of man. The reason why they fell is the most important part of the story in my opinion because it is the same temptation that is still overpowering most of the world today. It is the spirit of pride.
The promise that enticed them was, you shall gain the knowledge of good vs evil so that you no longer need God and because of your knowledge of good vs evil you will be just like God. Now why would someone want these things? To stroke their ego.
In contrast all the Bible heroes where for the most part humble and got into trouble when they let pride get in the way.
